Here Comes the Sun
The exclusive limited edition collection from luxury tableware designer Nour al Nimer, is the second to be specially commissioned by Decorative Arts duo Gabrielle & Guillaume for their Fifth Edition Exhibition in Beirut.
Each exclusive design is composed of powerful geometric patterns, masterfully illustrated using real gold applique. This skillful combination of both simplicity and opulence evokes a distinctly contemporary feel to the traditional Vietnamese weaving techniques from which it was inspired.

“Someone needs to tell those tales. When the battles are fought and won and lost, when the pirates find their treasures and the dragons eat their foes for breakfast with a nice cup of Lapsang souchong, someone needs to tell their bits of overlapping narrative. There's magic in that. It's in the listener, and for each and every ear it will be different, and it will affect them in ways they can never predict. From the mundane to the profound. You may tell a tale that takes up residence in someone's soul, becomes their blood and self and purpose. That tale will move them and drive them and who knows what they might do because of it, because of your words. That is your role, your gift. Your sister may be able to see the future, but you yourself can shape it, boy. Do not forget that... there are many kinds of magic, after all.”- The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
An Ode to Scandinavia
An Ode to Scandinavia is Nour’s exclusive collection for House of Today’s third biennial exhibition is Lebanon. House of today is a collaborative designs platform that identifies, showcases and connects emerging Lebanese designers. Her travels to Sweden and Finland inspired her to explore their history and culture.
The plate, used by millennia of cultures, is a reflection of history and habit. Here, each plate acts as an anchor, tethering the wild elements of nature and the modern world that we have built around it. Juxtaposing chaos with order, we are left with a smooth surface that aches to reveal the clash of days gone by and days to come.
I LEFT MY ♡ IN MEXICO
Nour has designed an exclusive collection for Gabriel&Guillaume, an ephemeral travelling pop-up gallery for decorative arts and design, for their latest show in Beirut. The limited edition run of 200 luxury plates was inspired by her trip to Mexico.
The contemporary collection, ‘I left my heart in Mexico’, is crafted in fine English Bone-China. Accented in screen-printed motifs and gold plated with a bright colour palette, the collection is a nod to an exuberant Mexican vibe.
